Located on the hills around Florence, Impruneta is an elegant town surrounded by a picturesque hillocks chain inserted in a setting of pine forests, houses and mansions.
Especially in the summer the central square is animated by the terraces of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the tranquility and coolness of this pleasant place.
Its traditions date back to Etruscan; then the geographical position, soil potential and its proximity to Florence favored the birth of a Roman agglomeration.
The Marian shrine is definitely one of the factors that made the town famous. Buondelmonti square is notable too, with its arcades of the late sixteenth century houses the main city festivals.
This town has maintained a strong bond with Florence: first country residence of noble families such as Gherardini, Ricci, Rossi, Antinori, Corsini, then a holiday resort for many urban families, today the town and his country are preferred as permanently residence due to the special geographical location, ease of transport routes and optimal climatic conditions.
